Hi! I’m Chad Stembridge. I’m twenty years old, and have worked in the video industry for almost four years now — but I prefer to identify first and foremost as a follower of Jesus Christ. Do you know Him?

I’m probably different than a lot of the twenty-year olds you’ve met before. For one thing, I was homeschooled, I don’t like listening to the noise people today call “music,” (your eyes probably look like O_O now — but keep reading) and I’ve never had a girlfriend. I love playing viola, taking photos, and spending time with my family. Family is important to me — as a Christian, I believe that being a godly husband and father is one of the highest callings a guy can have, and I’m greatly looking forward to the time when God gives me a wife and children (a lot of the latter, hopefully!).

This is me (actually it’s just a picture of me…):

Usually, pictures of me are taken from below, since I’m six-foot-two. But my little brother Tyler (six-foot-three) took this one.

God has given me the opportunity to work on numerous kinds of media projects, including documentaries, short films, artwork design, and more. I think it’s funny that people ask what I’m taking pictures of when I’m holding a video camera. It’s even funnier when they ask why I have a microphone on top. Here are a few things I’ve worked on:

LACP 2007 (cinematic presentation of a stage play) — Video director, editor
Bros (2009 short film) — Director of photography, Score Composer
Bros: the True Story (2009 documentary) — Producer
The Entertainers (feature documentary) — Camera operator
Cagin of Chrysaint (2010 feature) — DVD, poster, and products designer
Man School (TV pilot) — Camera operator, editor
Grand Canyon (2010 documentary) — Score composer

Why “Stembridge Mill?”
Great question! The Stembridge Tower Mill in England is the only thatched-roof windmill left in the world. My ancestors, the Stembridges (yeah, they even had the same last name as me!), lived in England and Wales before three brothers immigrated to what was then the thirteen British Colonies, circa 1740 A.D. I’m descended from the youngest of the three brothers, Thomas Baker Stembridge.
